One of my favourite Chefs is Shannon Bennett - mastermind creator of the very glamorous Vue De Monde and a sequel of other very well regarded eatery establishments and cookbooks as well.
Shannon Bennett is known all over the world, - his specialty cuisine is French and he delivers the most exciting and inspiring menus.
I first came across Shannon's name from my husband's personal friend who was the pastry chef at Vue De Monde many years ago. Shannon was kind enough to personally sign a cookbook for me which I gave as a gift to my sister who loved his restaurant. It is a serious gastronomical affair but one experience that you will record in your memory forever.
I am lucky enough to be going to Vue De Monde - on Level 55 of the iconic Rialto Building this February to enjoy this magical experience on the Chef's Table. I will be enjoying the breathtaking views of Melbourne and the clear pane glass view into the kitchen of these chefs who create the most gorgeous meals. It is a 10 course degustation - one which I am sure will savor every minute of.

Isn't this such a gorgeous and intimate setup - I love that he has created a wax feature of champange bottles. This interior is lush, dark and sexy.

I can't wait to do a follow up post on this and share with you this experience! I am currently reading Shannon's book - '28 Days in Provence' - it's a lovely recording of his experience as well as gorgeous receipes.
